Galaxy B94 Black win 2010 West Coast Futbol Classic

The Galaxy Alliance B94 Black, formerly known to the world as the Galaxy Vapor, went four for four in Orange County over the August 21-22 weekend to take the championship trophy at the 2010 West Coast Futbol Classic. The team beat FC Cypress 3-0 in its opener and then beat FC San Diego 4-0 in its late game Saturday. On Sunday afternoon, the team came from behind to beat Arsenal 2-1 to advance to the championship game vs. Celtic Harps. In the championship the team gave up an early goal, but by halftime had evened the game with a pretty shot from the 18 by Beau Barnett after Elijah Lichtenberg faked a direct kick and shuffled it off to Barnett.  In the second half, the B94 Black went ahead for good on a knee/thigh drill into the goal by Zach Peters-Vernier off of a brilliant cross from David Joy.

The team is coached by Christian Chambers and they will be playing in the BU16 Gold bracket this fall in the Coast Soccer League.
