MacArthur Field (a.k.a. “VA Field”), Galaxy Alliance Soccer Club’s primary practice field, is located at the end of Bonsall Avenue on the north side of the Veteran’s Administration grounds in West Los Angeles. The address is:

Driving Directions: From Wilshire heading WEST just west of the 405 Freeway, veer to the right to enter the VA property. At the stop sign, turn right onto Bonsall Ave. and go north. If you are heading EAST on Wilshire, just past Federal, veer right onto the VA property and turn left on Bonsall to go north. Continue north on Bonsall about 1 mile until it intersects (at “T”) with MacArthur. Go straight across MacArthur and enter the parking lot where you will see the field on your right.

There are other entrances off of Bringham (on the West side of the VA property), a Sepulveda Blvd. entrance that goes past the UCLA baseball field on Constitution Ave, and there is also an entrance at Sawtelle Blvd. off Ohio, for those coming from the south.

MacArthur Field Mudline: (310) 854-4665. In case of bad weather and there is question about whether the field is open, you may call this telephone number for field status (which is updated by the Westside Breakers field supervisor). 

Field Rules:  Our continued use of MacArthur field is contingent upon strict adherence to the following rules:

1.     STAY within the field area. DO NOT ENTER ANY NEARBY BUILDINGS. THE RESTROOMS ARE LOCATED ON THE FIELD. Also, please DO NOT let children play on the hills, stray into the brushy areas, or ride bikes or scooters in the parking lot area or surrounding roads.

2.     NO smoking, alcohol or drugs at the field.

3.     Please note that there are NO DOGS allowed ANYWHERE on the entire VA property.   Please do not bring dogs (or other pets) to the field or walk them on the VA property.

4.     NO LITTERING: Please help pick up any trash that may have been left by others and carry your own trash (water bottles etc.) out with you. Leave the area cleaner than you found it.

5.     NO use of the field except during permitted days and hours.

6.     There is absolutely NO PARKING OR WAITING in the red zone area. You may quickly drop off/pick up your kids there if you wish but please have your kids exit/enter the car quickly and have them exit/enter the car on the side towards the sidewalk ONLY.   During pick up, if your kids are not there you may not wait there for them.   Also, NEVER pick up or drop off along the road near the field entrance.

7.     Please park in DESIGNATED (lined) parking spaces only.  Note that there is additional parking in the lot up the hill along the east side of the field. If necessary, walk your children in (along the sidewalk, not through the middle of the parking lot) and/or walk in to pick them up.
