Christian Chambers
Fall 2011 will see Christian Chambers beginning his sixth year as a vital member of the Galaxy Alliance coaching staff. With his B94 team playing in Premier, his B96 team (that he recently took over) elevating to Silver, and his new B00 squad preparing for its inaugural season in Bronze, Christian will continue to oversee the growth and development of the club’s players.
A talented midfielder, from 1990-93 he played for Weymouth Town and was captain of the Youth Team in 1992. While studying at University for his BSc (Hons) Sport and Exercise Science degree, he played as a forward in his college’s team that was a national semi-finalist in 1997. Christian also has a Masters Degree in Education (11-18 year olds) and holds coaching badges in 6 different sports.
Christian began coaching soccer in 1995, earning his UEFA “B” license in 2000. During that time he coached for the Dorset Football Association, the Poole Town Soccer Academy and for Gillingham Town Football Club, all the while keeping up an active playing career.
Here in the States, Christian has been a mainstay of Coast Sports’ youth program, supervising its popular summer soccer camps. For the Galaxy Alliance, he has taken the B94 Black team (formerly the “Vapor”) from U12 Bronze to U17 Premier with a record of 116-60-25. His G95 Red squad (formerly the “Devil-Cats”) rose from U12 Bronze to U16 Gold with a record of 113-44-27.
Christian also currently coaches at Brentwood School where he coaches the Middle School Girls team and has previously coached the Boys team at Paul Revere Middle School.
